Ceramics exhibitions, UK

  • Hilary Peat: Surrey Artist of the Year 2025 - One Year On, New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham

    12 September - 7 November

Hilary's ceramic work captures the moods of the ever-changing landscape displaying rhythmic shifts of light, colour, and pattern. Inspired by reflections on water, shifting skies and the movement of colour across land and sea, each piece creates a harmonious dialogue between form and surface, where delicate gradations of colour and intricate geometric patterns enrich the sensory experience.

  • Akiko Hirai, Things That Disappear When Touched, Contemporary Ceramics, London

    15 October - 7 November

‘This exhibition explores objects that express a quiet equilibrium: fragile, shifting forms that exist in a state of delicate imbalance. Their stillness is easily disturbed, as if the act of holding too tightly might cause something essential to disappear. The works reflect an interest in forms that resist perfection, remaining slightly unresolved, unsettled, and quietly alive.’ Akiko Hirai
